6-7-14 – On a night when it was destined for first time winners, Tony Basalone kept the streak alive in just his 3rd JR Neely Home Improvement Modified Division event! 20 cars were able to start the 50 Lap Feature Event and the “luck of the draw” shuffled the field for the starting lineup. Fast qualifier, Basalone, would start on the pole after winning his positioning Heat race. On Lap #7, the first of two cautions would come out when Jon Giffel got into the wall in turn one. Basalone had taken the lead from Hudson on Lap #3 and he would choose the outside lane for the Owosso Option restart. Basalone would continue with the lead for the remaining 47 laps and he was putting distance between himself and Trei Deubel until Lap #16 when the final caution came out for a horrific crash involving Dave Parisian and Gary Pierce. The #6 car of Pierce went airborne and landed on it’s roof in turn one after making contact with the #70 car of Parisian. Both drivers were uninjured but both cars were totally destroyed. When the race resumed the fast cars were going to the front as Laci Donnert, Nick Clemens, Adam Hudson and Trei Deubel continued to race hard and swap positions. At the final flag it was Deubel for second, Donnert in third, Hudson in fourth and Clemens in fifth. Basalone, Jeff Jostock and Dave Parisian would win the heats.
