6-28-14 – Jason Felver has missed the first 10 events of racing due to a serious injury sustained at work. The two-time defending Track Champion hopped into the seat and picked up where he left off last season by setting Fast Time and giving notice that he was back! The Affordable Tire & Service Center Pro Late Model 30 Lap Feature Event started 11 cars and Felver was relegated to the rear. Adam Rowe led the first 11 laps and suffered challenges from Dave Bigos, Ken Jostock Jr, Jimmy Gallagher and Russ Cords. A caution on Lap #4 retired two cars, Joe Hodgeson Jr and Vinnie Miller from the race. On Lap #12, Russ Cords drove underneath Rowe and took over the lead as Felver was back in the pack picking off the other cars one at a time. On Lap #13, the field was bunched once again as Gallagher spun out and now Cords had to deal with Felver on the restart. Felver drove around Cords on the outside one lap later and remained the leader through the final two cautions on lap #s 16 and 17. Cords would keep it close as he gained on Felver in the closing laps. Dave Bigos would drive back up to the third position and Troy Whyte would get by Adam Rowe to finish fourth. Joe Hodgeson Jr and Troy Whyte won the Heat Races.
