Update from the Williams Families 5-8-2020

Coronavirus-Covid 19 May 8, 2020
Gov. Whitmer announced yesterday the MI Stay Home, Stay Safe order has been extended to May 28, 2020. She also announced the Six Phases of MI Safe Start Plan. We are currently in Phase 3 of the 6 Phase Plan.
We think by the end of May we should move to Phase 4. We continually follow the CDC guidance and Governor’s Executive Orders. As more announcements are made, we will post plans for the Owosso Speedway. We know drivers want to have the opportunity for Test and Tune before racing begins. Since we think Phase 4 is coming soon, we plan to open the Owosso Speedway Saturday, May 30th from noon to dark for Test and Tune. We will be following CDC guidelines with a dedicated point of entry, social distancing will be practiced by keeping teams six feet apart in the Pit area and all people entering the track are subject to a screening protocol. Each team will be allowed the driver and 1-2 pit crew members. We will have racing fuel. Contact Dennis Grim 517-798-7793, to order tires. At this time, we do not have plans to have the stands for General Admission open. Again, the decisions so far have not been easy. We are as anxious as everyone else to start the 2020 Race Season. We continue to put safety for our families and communities both on and off the track as our top priority.
