New Smyrna Speedway Officials haven't decided whether or not the ASA / Crate Late Models will Qualify due to todays schedule change. Originally on todays schedule, they were not scheduled to do so. The other five divisions are all scheduled to Qualify today.

One way or the other, the ASA / Crate Late Models last day of Speedweeks will be tomorrow, (Friday. February 12th) If the expected weather does move in and cancel tomorrow's racing activities, the ASA / Crate Late Models portion of Speedweeks will end at that point.

3:10p.m. (EST) ---- Schedule UPDATE; In light of expected weather that's forecasted for tomorrow (Friday, February 12th) and due to the fact the New Smyrna Speedway has already lost two nights due to the weather, the 50-lap Feature for the ASA / Crate Late Models will be tonight and the 25-lap feature scheduled for tonight, has been moved to tomorrow.

This is to give the ASA / Crate Late Models division their big feature of the week without fear of losing it to the weather. In case the weather breaks tomorrow, they will still be in action with a 25-lapper. If they lose tomorrow, the points earned up to and after tonight's big 50-lap Feature, would then become the final 2010 ASA / Crate Late Model Speedweeks Points Standings.

2:45p.m. (EST) ---- It was announced earlier today that the ASA / Crate Late Models will run a 50-lap feature TONIGHT instead of a 25-lap feature. There is also the divisions' 50-lap Speedweeks Finale scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, February 12th.

Eddy recovered, but couldn't reel in Symons and settled for second place.

"We're happy how the day turned out considering how it started," Eddy stated after the 25-lap feature. "The car ended up a little tight as it lost some stagger in the race. We feel if we get the tires to stay where we want them we'll be in good shape for these last two races." He added.

Heading into tonight's 25-lap feature, the final one before tomorrow's 50-lap Speedweeks finale for the Florida / IMCA Modifieds, Eddy is second in the 2010 Florida / IMCA Modifieds Speedweeks Points Standings by just four markers behind two-time feature winner, Tank Tucker. (158-154)

The Byron, Michigan teenager started 14th and despite a mid-race run in with Patrick Laperle while running in the Top 10. After getting his spot back, since he wasn't the cause of the caution, he drove his #4 Paragon Corvette Reproductions Chevrolet to his first Top 10 of Speedweeks and vault himself into the Top 10 in Speedweeks Points!

"We're getting more comfortable with the car and we were able to pass some teams, so we're making progress." Jones remarked. "I'm getting more confident running with these guys. We just need a small little something else to bring it all together and we'll be right there battling for a win before Speedweeks is over." He ended.

Coming into tonight, Jones is ninth in 2010 ASA / Crate Late Models Speedweeks Points Standings, just four points behind 2009 ASA Late Model Series Challenge Division Rookie of the Year, Jerick Johnson, and only 20 markers outside the Top Five in the week long title chase, which ends on Friday, February 12th with a 50-lap feature.
