Continuing on with another Modified driver, is Aaron Taylor. Aaron is from Jackson, Michigan and has been racing for a total of 13 years now. He is a third-generation driver on both sides of his family, so he inevitably has racing written in his DNA. He has raced Front Wheel Drives, Super Late Models, and now Modifieds as #22. He has had a very successful career so far, with many championships to show for it. Including FWD championships in 2012, 2013, and 2014, two Modified championships at two different tracks in 2017, and another Modified championship in 2022. With growing up in racing and being around race tracks his whole life, he has met a lot of people that have become his race family. It is his favorite part of racing, being able to go out and do what he loves with those closest to him at the track every Saturday night. Aaron is constantly working on his race car, even during the off-season. A motto that he likes to live by is "races are won in the garage." You can't expect to win a race if you never put the work into your race car. Now, that doesn't mean that he wins every single race he competes in. When he takes a loss, he likes to talk it all out and get straight to fixing the problem. Growing up in a racing family has taught him plenty of lessons like that. While he has a great group of racers in his family, his dad (Lee) is his idol and inspiration. He said that his dad was a clean driver and is respectful, helpful, and works hard. He is everything that Aaron wants to be known for. While Aaron's race car is owned by Butch Taylor, his family makes up his race crew. That includes his wife (Erica), his son (Lucas), their new baby (Brexton), his mom (Sheila), his dad (Lee), his grandpa and grandma (Chuck and Shirley Ryan), his Uncle Tim, and his Aunt Vonnie. They all help in their own ways and they make it so he can experience some of the best tracks around. Aaron's favorite track he has traveled to so far is Winchester Speedway. He said that it is "freakishly fast and you're just holding on for dear life, hoping that it sticks." However, it isn't just his great race crew and family support that have allowed him to have those experiences. It is also thanks to all of his great sponsors; Taylor Concrete, The Lost Shoe Tavern, Aertech Machining & Manufacturing, Wheeler Trucking, Complete Tree, Pop’s Towing & Recovery LLC, Fogg Oil, Automatic Sales, Premiere Sales, LJC Excavating, Coffey Plumbing, Kane Heating, D.A. Builders, Leslie Lanes, Jack Oakley Videos, Patrick Plumbing, Burkett Nester Racecars, Willbee Concrete, and Rhyne Racing engines. Aaron Taylor has a lot in store for us for the 2023 season. He will have a brand new car (courtesy of Taylor Concrete), new team shirts, and a packed schedule with as many races as possible. He has so many exciting things happening in 2023, but he also can't wait to get back to Owosso Speedway! He said that there is so much love and passion that Rex and the rest of management have for racing that these changes being made are much needed and will make for some great race experiences in the future
