Blake Childers is a huge supporter of Owosso Speedway. He frequently posts pictures of his young boys wearing their Owosso Speedway hats and talks about how excited they are for the 2023 season. Blake is a talented Super Late Model driver from Flushing, MI, with many exciting plans for this year. He has been racing since he was four years old, and began driving Late Models at 14. Blake is a third-generation driver, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, as being involved in motorsports is a tradition in his family. He is a skilled driver, having won Late Model championships in 2014 and 2015, and Owosso Speedway championships in 2015, 2017, and 2018. Blake loves racing and gives it his all every time he hits the track. He has a lot of support on race nights and focuses on running a good race and having a good time with his friends and family. He has a great race crew, consisting of his father (Greg), Troy Childers, Eric Egan, and Matt Young, as well as an excellent team of sponsors: Wheeler Trucking, Motor City Home Improvements, and Tripoint Auto Mall, which allows him to run many great races each season. Blake has been working hard during the off-season, preparing race cars for the start of the 2023 race season. He has a lot in store for all of us this year, including stepping away from his usual number 33 and driving a new number 10 Super Late Model with a Senneker chassis for Mr. Rex Wheeler. Blake is excited to get back out there and support Owosso Speedway, his favorite track due to the 2 and 3 wide, crazy fast, and fun racing that occurs there. Blake is a big supporter of everything happening at Owosso Speedway, and believes that with all the money the Wheelers are putting into the track for improvements, it will become the best race track in the state. I'm sure one day, his little boys will race at Owosso Speedway, becoming the fourth generation and following in Blake's footsteps, but until then we get to watch Blake race Super Late Models every chance we get!
