Owosso $2500 to Win Valley Truck Modified Racers Tire Order Form and procedure.
If you're a Modified racer coming to Owosso Speedway in 2023 we need to hear from you. At the very end of this article is a link that takes you to a form to fill out a tire sizing information sheet for your requirements. All A Main Modified Features are $2500 to Win, $600 to start shows. Our B main shows will be $1500 to win, $250 to start. Every show in 2023 is this amount for the purse minimum. All shows except for the July Midwest Mod Tour Race, The Hot Shoe 100 and The Owosso Nationals are points races. Owosso Speedway is under a managed Tire Purchase Bar Code Program App. This is the same program used during Florida Speedweeks, The Whelen Nascar Modified tour, The ASA series, Berlin Raceway, Kalamazoo Speedway and others.
Owosso Modifieds will be sold 6 tires at the beginning of the season that are inventoried under that drivers name. A bar code is stored in the software for that driver. A barcode sticker is generated for that drivers car A PILLAR. When they pull into tech, the car is scanned. To pass Tech, the tires must meet the scanned tires in drivers inventory. If they do, the app turns green. If they do not, the app turns red, and the driver is returned to his pit stall to change his tires. He will not be allowed tires from other facilities. We control the tire history from the time it is new, until the time it is exhausted out of the drivers inventory. After the drivers first 6 tire purchase, he will be sold (2) new tires per completed race event after the season opener. If a driver comes mid season for the first time, they will be sold (2) new tires, and (2) 30 lap scuff tires from the tracks scuff tire inventory. This is the only way to keep the tire management program fair to all that are competing. The A main money is the best in the country for a normal modified show. The B main money is the best in the country for a normal modified show.
The tire tech program will be very strict in its policing. It's the only way it works for everyone. We have made significant investment into the racing surface, the safety lighting, the overhead lighting, the purse, and the procedures. We want you to be confident that you are racing on a fair playing field, for the best purse in the United States as a weekly competitor, or occasional visitor. We have a strict no soak policy that is spelled out in our rules, and we will be teching tires weekly.
