Owosso Speedway
Hoosier F70 Sales Begin This Saturday. Must read to purchase
Tire Sales Will begin Saturday at 12pm at the Tech barn at Owosso Speedway.
Saturday April 8th is a Tire Sale ONLY day. It is not a practice event.
The requirements are as follows:
1.You must be a Registered Owosso Speedway Driver.
2. You will be assigned a Hard Card with your name and barcode in the card. A sticker will be applied to the A pillar of your race car.
3. You’’ll be allowed 6 new tires to start the season with. They are logged into the drivers name, for that class, for competing at Owosso Speedway assigned to your log in hard card (and the sticker on the a pillar of your race car). The car must begin racing the season on a combination those tires assigned to your specific bar code for your registered car. .
4. You must enter these tires into the inventory management system to be raced at Owosso Speedway. We are on a 4 new tire program for the FIRST night. Every points night after that night up to 2 new tires will be sold to you as a driver in that class. Those tires are logged into your inventory.
5. The next event you come to race, 2 of your new tires will be allowed on your car from your inventory for that event. The other two tires, must have laps on them. A minimum of 30 laps. When you pull into tech, your tires are scanned. The app turns green if the tires are from your inventory. The app date/time scans your tires when you roll through tech. If you have tires that were not logged into your inventory, the app will turn red, and you will not be allowed to compete. You may return to tech with the proper tires on the car, if you have time. If you don't have time, that is your responsibility.
6. The drivers that show up after the points season has begun, as a new competitor are allowed to buy 2 tires new, and 2 used tires from the Owosso Speedway 30 lap scuff tire inventory. This is the only method that will be allowed. It is the only way to keep the system honest, and the tire management affordable.
7. Flat tires that occur, or tires damaged in competition will be allowed to be replaced in your inventory (under managements discretion, from the 30 lap scuff tire inventory)
THE PURSE IS THE BEST ADVERTISED REGULAR EVENT PURSE IN THE UNITED STATES (FOR THESE RESPECTIVE DIVISIONS) ON A 2 TIRE PROGRAM, THIS KEEPS THE MOST MONEY IN EACH DRIVERS POCKET WHEN THEY GO HOME. YOU’LL NEED GOOD TIRES TO MAKE THE FIELD AT OWOSSO. THIS IS THE METHOD FOR TRACKING THOSE TIRES FROM CRADLE TO GRAVE TO ENSURE THAT YOU DRIVERS ARE RACING UNDER THE FAIREST CONDITIONS POSSIBLE WITH OUTSIDE SOURCE NEW OR SOAKED TIRES BEING ELIMINATED FROM COMPETITION.
SPECIAL EVENTS WILL BE ADVERTISED AHEAD OF TIME IF THEY ARE 4 TIRE ALLOWED EVENTS.
