2023 Sport Compact Division Rules and Policy Update 6/23/23
Sport Compacts Return Next Week July 1st 2023 to Owosso Speedways Scheduled Event.
The 2023 Sport Compact Division rules amendment is in a link below. A few weeks ago through polling 5 members from the Sport Compact Group were elected to work on a comprehensive rules package that would allow more cars from area speedways during their off nights to fit in to our Sport Compact Division. They worked extremely hard on this and the division is well represented. They are not designed to specifically benefit any interest group or faction of this division. Members reached out to many area drivers. They are a blend of all opinions, and a majority of - to promote higher participation levels from the Sport Compact Community.
Moving forward, these representatives will help steer the direction of the sport compact group through the remainder of 2023. Policy issues, tech developments and industry trends will be their focus. These are unpaid, volunteer positions. In dialogue and exchanges with these driver community reps, we at the Owosso Speedway ask that you be respectful to them and Speedway Officials above all else. These individuals have volunteered a great deal of their time and will continue to do so if treated in a professional manner. Owosso Speedway would like thank them, and the driving community for focusing on the development of this class into a thriving division.
