Tire Policy Bulletin - 7/25/23

Ovid Mi- Owosso Speedway had a lengthy talk with our Hoosier tire distribution center in Plymouth Indiana on Monday July 24th, 2023. They informed us that they will be able to meet our requirements for tires for the remainder of the season. They have assured us that they will be able to deliver for our large events in August and ending with the Owosso Nationals in September and we will have adequate tires available for supply. For this reason, we will no longer be implementing the (2) tire purchase restriction rule. You may purchase (4) Hoosier F70's (If you are a registered driver at Owosso Speedway) from us or you may bring unsoaked used or new tires from other facilities. All tires must be powdered, and will have top 3 and 1 random durometered after the feature to ensure they are meeting controlled measurement
conforming standards. If they do not meet the standard, a sample will be sent to Blue Ridge Labs for further analysis.
We appreciate every ones patience while we went through a trying period with tires and supply chain issues that so many have faced in the last several years. We also saw various teams do well on used tires when they had a well balanced car. The choice is now in the drivers hands. We feel the need is not there to purchase 4 tires every week to win at Owosso Speedway on our new surface, but if you elect to - that is up to you.
